About this site

Pixel Stage Guide (pixelstageguide.com, “the site”) is an editorial website that reviews free-to-play browser games and links to the publishers’ official sites. It is operated by Pixel Stage Guide (“we”, “us”). You can contact us at hello@pixelstageguide.com.

The site provides information. It does not host, sell, distribute or operate any game, and it does not process payments. Pixel Stage Guide is not associated with online casinos, betting or gambling of any kind.

Accepting these terms

By using the site you agree to these terms, our privacy policy and our cookie policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. We may update the terms from time to time; the date at the top shows the current version, and continued use after a change means you accept it.

Our reviews

Reviews, verdicts, “Editor’s pick” labels and everything else written by us are editorial opinions based on our own play and on information published by the game publishers on the date shown. They are not advice, not a guarantee of any game’s quality, availability or suitability, and not an endorsement by any publisher. Games change; a review describes the game as we found it.

We take care to be accurate, and we correct mistakes when they are reported through the contact form. We cannot promise that every fact is current at the moment you read it.

Some links on the site, in particular the “Play now” buttons, are affiliate links. If you follow one and register on the publisher’s site, the publisher may pay us a commission. This does not change the price you pay (the games are free to start), does not change the game you receive and does not influence our reviews. Affiliate links are marked as such on every page. Our How we review page explains how editorial and commercial matters are kept apart.

Third-party games and services

Every game listed on the site is made, published and run by a third party. When you follow a link to a publisher’s site you leave Pixel Stage Guide, and your relationship with that publisher, including registration, gameplay, in-game purchases, support, age ratings and privacy, is governed entirely by the publisher’s own terms and policies.

We are not a party to any agreement between you and a publisher and have no control over the games, their availability, their content or their pricing. Problems with a game, an account or a purchase must be taken up with the publisher’s support.

Acceptable use

You may use the site for personal, non-commercial purposes. You must not:

  • use the contact form to send spam, unlawful content, or messages that are abusive or threatening;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its server or any data it holds;
  • use automated tools to scrape, copy or overload the site beyond what a search engine reasonably does;
  • copy or republish our content in a way that is not permitted under “Intellectual property” below;
  • frame the site or misrepresent it as your own.

We may block access to the site, without notice, if we reasonably believe these rules are being broken.

Intellectual property

The text, layout, logo and design of Pixel Stage Guide belong to us. You may quote short extracts with a link to the source page; you may not reproduce whole reviews or pages without our written permission.

Game names, logos and artwork belong to their respective publishers and developers and are used on this site for identification and review purposes only. Nothing on the site grants you any right to use them. If you own rights in material shown here and believe it is used improperly, contact us and we will respond promptly.

Liability

The site is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties, express or implied, about the site and its content, and we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site, from reliance on a review, or from any game, publisher site or service you reach through our links.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Changes

We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the site at any time without notice, including removing a game from the list when it closes, changes materially or no longer meets our criteria. We may also revise these terms; the current version is always at this address with its date at the top.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any dispute arising from them or from your use of the site is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except that if you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the United Kingdom you may bring proceedings in the courts of your home nation.
